The extra gear slots in Predator armour were very helpful for making up for the lesser squad size.
Xcom 2 hidden achievements how to#
A lot of save scumming to figure out how to engage enemy pods without getting overwhelmed. & 4) I did a grueling Commander playthrough to get both of these in Vanilla. This was on either Veteran or Rookie difficult, so I additionally got the achievement of killing a ruler the first time I encountered it. Got extremely lucky on that one during the Nest mission the first time I played it through (thanks Babe-ford) since he was between the Viper King and the Portal and had Bladestorm. Hopefully you find these tips useful! Good luck, Commander! At this point it still might be tricky to find a match.
Xcom 2 hidden achievements manual#
Do manual saves frequently in case your timing is off, so you won't have to start from scratch.įor those of you struggling with the multiplayer achievement, it helps if you uninstall the DLC because the game will try and match you with other people with the DLC, But more people don't have it than do. You'll have to pass on a lot of useful stuff. You'll only have time for tier 2 weapons and armor at best. That way you'll have use of the weapons (axe, frost grenade, etc.) without triggering the rulers on the missions.Įxquisite Timing: You really have to optimize here and only go for the critical research path that will win you the game. It helps if you enable the Alien Rulers DLC but don't go to the first mission. Reload as needed and lean on your Commander and mind controlled enemies in the last battle. You're not going to want to try the last mission with only four soldiers later than July 1 anyway.

The Few and the Proud: It doesn't hurt to try this at the same time as Exquisite Timing. Probably best to do this one on the easiest difficulty. I believe you can actually use upgraded medkits and plasma grenades. Use mind control on big enemies like Gatekeepers and Andromedons. (unless you get mind controlled and your solider executes one of their squadmates!) Lean heavily on your Commander in the final mission and take it slow. Who Needs Tygan?: Again, Superior Repeaters work wonders here. Save manually at the start/end of each mission just in case. The game autosaves the last three turns, so don't be afraid to go back and try a new approach. I would suggest going for this achievement at the same time as the others you need. The Untouchables: You'll have to do a lot of reloading unless you're very good at the game. Also, the specialist's guardian ability gives you a chance at a second overwatch shot if the first one hits.

Other abilities that help - the ranger's bladestorm ability gives you a free sword/axe attack when an enemy comes within range, so try and have your ranger next to the ruler or in between the ruler and their exit. Use stun abilities like the frost grenade and crossbow and then set your guys on overwatch so they all get a shot as he makes a break for it. When they lose one row of health, they will usually try to escape. Not Thowing Away My Shot: Superior Repeaters can make this and other achievements a lot easier, but they can also backfire and kill the ruler before they even try to escape.
Xcom 2 hidden achievements Pc#
I've gotten all the achievements/trophies for XCOM 2 on PC and PS4. For the life of me I can't figure which one I didn't get (I even skulljacked the general) so almost every mission I'm basically skulljacking anyone I can see. I also haven't been able to skulljack every different Advent soldier.
Xcom 2 hidden achievements upgrade#
This is probably the one I'm going to go for next.Īnyone else's thoughts? I'd love to hear how it went on Who Needs Tygan - if you don't upgrade your weapons and armor do the alien weapons still improve? I've actually tried this one and get bogged down about halfway through.Įxquisite Timing (Beat the game on Commander+ difficulty by July 1st (July 15th for War of the Chosen) ). The Few & The Proud ( Beat the game on Commander+ difficulty without buying a Squad Size upgrade).

Who Needs Tygan (Beat the final mission using only conventional gear) Another one that seems as much lucky as good. The Untouchables (Beat the game on Commander+ without losing a soldier). Not Throwing Away My Shot (Kill an alien ruler while it attempts to escape). Here's my list, toughest to least impossible. There seem to be about five that look close to impossible.
